Exercise physiologist are university qualified allied health experts with the knowledge and skills to provide specific treatment plans for chronic conditions. Similar to how a doctor prescribes medication to help you get better, exercise physiologists prescribe exercise as medicine.
Chronic conditions can vary significantly, some examples are diabetes, cancer, hypertension, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord injury, osteoporosis, and arthritis. Every condition is unique and how an individual responds is distinct; therefore, all interventions are individualised to suit you.
Exercise physiologists are trained to have a biopsychosocial approach. We take a holistic approach to your health, we not only look at the condition presented but take into consideration both the mental and social impacts. Our clients are welcomed into a safe and friendly community where they can build connections with practitioners and other clients.
